Dear God,

There is something so beautiful about bare trees against a gray sky.  They lift their branches and limbs toward the heavens.  They sway in the breeze.  They dance in stormy weather.  They speak your name.

Do we as humans do the same?  Didn't you make us to succumb to your will for us?  Do we move with your spirit?  So often we are rigid, unwilling to freely surrender so we can dance the dance of faith.  But when we do, what joy overflows!

Thank you,
for your spirit,
O God.
Thank you
for the trees
that speak
your language.
Thank you
for your compassion
that leans
toward us.

Love, Andrea
