Dear God,

Christmas is not just a special day with presents, family, and good food.  It's also more than one day.  What happens at the beginning of Advent continues on through Epiphany.  It is a spirit that informs each day of blessing, joy, and peace.  Although today is January 3, I still feel the Christmas spirit deep down in my soul.

The best part of this season is this spirit and each day I give you thanks.  I love waking up each morning, looking out upon the beautiful snow covering the landscape, plugging in the beautiful Christmas tree, reading my morning devotions and listening for your word in the midst of daily life.  I gaze upon the olive wood creche and I acknowledge the true gift of Christmas.  I love this season and I love you.

for faith
that makes
it all possible.
