Dear God,

When we allow people into our lives, they reshape us.  Their life and faith rub up against us and help to smooth out our rough edges.  They develop in us a kind of mercy, love, and faith.  Their love for us calls us to rise to higher levels of goodness.  They put joy and gratitude in us.

When I think about some of those people you have put in my life, I smile.  My heart warms.  My mind fills with good thoughts.  Images of those blessed saints pass by and I feel so much joy, love and gratitude.  But most of all, I think of the man of Galilee who even in my sinfulness calls me friend.

thank you
for allowing me
to be part
of your life.
Thank you
for faith
that connects us
to you
and one another.
How blessed
we are
when we
trust you
to lead us
to others
who will reshape
and remake us.
