Dearest God,

Sometimes we are hesitant, even afraid of the future.  We don't want to take risks because we feel alone so we fail to reach the heights you set for us.  We forget the path is already worn with people who have walked there before us.

As I spend time with great authors of faith, I find my own path beautifully littered with saints, spiritual friends, and knowledgeable strangers who are filling me up with courage, joy and hope.  I feel their light upon my soul and I know the light wants to shine brightly in me.  The more I read and pray, the more I know the light is the way to joy, hope and peace.

Let your light shine,
O Radiant One,
shine upon me.
Shine upon
all of us.
Light our paths
so we
can light
the path
for others,
I pray.
