Dear God,

Sometimes we just don't get what we want.  Our dreams can shatter in any given moment.  However, often we forget that your plan is bigger and better.

The great challenge in life is to partner with you, to take your lead and to walk into the future hand in hand with hope and trust.  You are always waiting for us to turn toward you, to listen and to follow.  When we do that the results can be astounding.  A miracle can come.  Hope can rise up out of despair.  Healing may appear.  A new direction may be discovered.  Grace can bring forgiveness and mercy.

There are just some moments when we forget who you are, what your power is like and how deep your love really goes. Forgive us, please.

Holy God,
keep us
on our knees
in prayer.
Cleanse our minds
and heart.
Build our trust,
we pray.
