Dear God,

What do we see?  What do we hear?  What do we taste or touch when we are open to heaven?  Everything is sweeter and more beautiful as we encounter your spirit, Holy God.  Lilacs no longer smell just like lilacs; their scent is is the scent of eternity.

We limit ourselves so much when we roam the earth without a sense of your spirit.  Yes, there is so much beauty upon this globe; however, there is so much more when we walk with the God of all creation.

Springtime is opening me more and more to more and more of you.  When a bud appears, when a flower blossoms, when a new baby cries, I am made more aware of your living presence in the world.  When I pause and wait, listen and watch, I see, I hear, I feel, I taste, touch and smell the essence of eternity.  What blessing, what joy!

Thank you,
O God,
for all
the gifts
of spring.
Thank you
for reminders
of our need
to open,
grow and blossom
with faith.
Lead us
to new birth,
we pray.

Love, Andrea
