Dear God,

As always you whispered to me what I needed to do.  As I stepped to the bookcase, I pulled down the book off the shelf.  I started reading it again...Healing for a Bitter Heart.  What I know is you know what we need even before we do and you speak to us.

I returned to this book that helped me years ago.  It actually helped heal a friend whose bitterness led her in many areas of her life.  I realized it was time when I heard your sweet word of encouragement.

Why am I bitter?  Let me count the ways.

O Lord,
I want
to rid myself
of the
damaging bitterness
in my soul.
I want
to surrender it
to you.
I want
to live free.
You are
the power
that can heal.
