Dear God,

There is great joy in working for and with you!  When you invite us in to dwell, there is no greater presence.  When you invite us to partner with you, there is so much joy!

I know I keep talking about it but how can I stop?  Working on the spiritual path all these years clearing and cleaning, pruning and digging and planting and watering...all in your name.  Does it bring you as much joy as me?

Often I am overwhelmed by the beauty we have created.  Clearing down to the river, ridding ourselves of all the awful invasive waste, cutting down dead trees, plucking up weeds and debris and sitting on the ground in gratitude nearly does me in as I contemplate your goodness.  Everyone who plays in or on the river will see your work and be happy.  All the neighbors who eye the work will be grateful.  All who will come to the spiritual hermitage for rest and respite will see your handiwork and be glad.  And I...well, blessed, so very, very blessed.
