Dear God,

What is healing?  Healing is transformation, conversion and change.  What was sick is now well.

It is true.  I overuse my body.  I physically labor for hours.  I love it.  I love to work healing the land of our property.  I love ridding the ground of invasive spoils. I love clearing and cleaning.  I love to see the dirt released from its captivity.  Yet, at the same time while aiding in the healing of our land, I work too long hurting, injuring my body, my knees, shoulders and back.  Strange...I help transform our land while depriving my own body of the same attention.

Will I ever learn?  Will I ever take proper care of my body?  Will I ever connect my body with my soul and spirit?  Or am I doomed to destroy the dwelling place of my soul?

Help me,
O Lord.
Save me
from myself.
Show me
the way
to healing
all parts
of me.
Please forgive me.
Aid me
in my distress,
I pray.
