Dearest God,

You make our hearts soft so we can be open to your spirit.  You create us to know you and to experience the deepest love in the whole of the cosmos.

This came home to me today when my granddaughter Sophie and I stepped inside the hermitage built just a few months ago along my spiritual path.  When she saw it for the first time, she paused, looked around and her face expressed awe and wonder.  Although she did not say it in so many words, it was evident she saw you in the holy, sacred space.

How wonderful my granddaughter and I can experience your spirit together!  What gifts!  What presence, knowing and loving you together at the same time, in the same space!
