Dear God,

Today I watched as the leaves began dropping in droves.  In fact, I was mesmerized because all I could think about was the obedience of the trees to follow the Creator's will.  It was, after all, time for the trees to let go, surrender what has made them especially beautiful this Autumn.  And yet, they knew the time and season.

Oh, to be like the tree, to want the Creator's will, to follow the divine plan, to release and let go and to be vulnerable in a time of transition!  The willingness of the trees to teach us more about you, Master Creator, touches and inspires me time and again.  This season is full of insight, challenges and spiritual movement.

Move us

into the time

and season

of surrender,

Merciful God.

Teach us

to follow your

lead to change.

Help us

to be attentive

to insights

during this

very special season.
