Dear God,
"In your light we see light," the scripture said this morning. I have found that to be true. When in darkness facing difficulty, sometimes it is difficult to see the light shine. That may be because we are used to carrying our own light and we expect it to be enough. At times it is. Other times it is not.
Often we go days, weeks, months even years relying on our own light. Well, good luck with that. We forget or refuse to acknowledge that your light shines like no other. And it is your delight to shine your light on whatever troubles us.
When we take our pitiful light to you with our doubts, fears and anxieties, you open the door to your light. You whisper courage into us. You infuse us with trust and strength. When we fully confess our light is not enough and we need more, you lift the veil from our eyes. It is only then we are able to see what you see, O Lord. We see divine light that helps, guides and empowers us to see more. Not only that it gives us power from on high. Then and only then do we know that we know that we know it is your light that dwells to shine on us.
Holy and Mystical God,
thank you
for the blessing
of light,
for divine light.
Thank you
for the way
it helps
and heals
and guides
and blesses.
Love, Andrea
