Dear God,

How can I ever expect to hear you if I do not listen?  If I am always busy talking, thinking and doing, how will I ever hear you?  If I block you from my life, yet pray for your help, how will I ever know your answer?

You gave us ears to hear.  Listening to the sound of your voice is the sweetest sound in all the earth.  After we hear your voice, no other voice will compare.  Your desire is to speak to us, to love us, to share with us, to guide, to teach and to bless.  But if we do not listen, we miss it all.

Holy and Loving God,

still our voices

so we

can hear.

Open our ears,

hearts and minds.

Teach us

once again

to listen.
