My dear God,

Tomorrow my covenant group will gather for the first time in nearly two years.  Although we join together on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 for a conference call, we have not retreated in all this time.  We have missed the spiritual companionship of one another.

Today as I packed my things, I reflected upon these people, Susan, Bill and Jan.  What gifts they are to me.  What spiritual miracles they are as I have walked with them through difficulties, losses, sorrow, rage and great pain; yet, I have witnessed their conversion over and over again as they trusted you and us, as they chose a new road, surrendered old habits and resentment, found courage, strength and hope, rose up from ashes and built a new life, stepped forward and achieved impossible dreams and so much more.  They have permitted me to be their colleague, sister, friend, teacher and guide as I have them.  Tomorrow we will gather once again to offer up praise, thanksgiving and joy.
