Dear God,
I sat on the porch and watched the birds fly in and out of the garden. Bluebirds, robins, cardinals, sparrows and tiny wrens played, sang and hopped along the black, iron archway. I couldn't help but gaze upon their happy journey of feeding, singing and flying. What a wonderful world, I said to myself.
Too often we fail to simply pause and look out on the natural world. We are too busy with everything else and so we miss some of the most beautiful views just outside our window. Today I did just that...paused, gazed and appreciated. I was blessed.
O God,
forgive me
for failing
to recognize
all you provide
day after day.
There is
so much beauty
around us.
I am sorry
I fail
to notice
and say
thank you.
Bless you
for continuing
to bless us.
Love, Andrea
