Dear God,

This morning we sat at your feet for probably the 1,500th time.  As our covenant group moves into silence and then devotion and prayer, we ask your spirit breath to lead us in our gathering time every Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m.  We are never disappointed.

As we shared and listened, always giving way to the leading of your spirit, we observed as one of us shared a most difficult situation and then allowed you to move us in difficult questioning.  Because your wise spirit was in our midst, we sensed your loving hand moving judgment closer to acceptance.  We knew it was your work, not our own and we gave thanks.

Holy Spirit God,

thank you

for the

countless ways

you move

in our midst.

Thank you

for making

hard things easier.

Thank you

for love

that eases

and relieves.
