Dear God,

The sign just above the church door stated, "Come to me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest."  I breathed in the truth of that when I took my daily walk this morning.  How many times have I found rest in you, O Lord?  Hundreds, thousands, multiple thousands, oh yes!  There is some weariness that can only be overcome by you and this is the kind.

Although we may not know it, I believe you put your own DNA into us at conception.  There is a part of us, a very unique part that blesses us with special rest.  It is the type that relaxes every muscle, bone, joint, flesh and fiber.  Your kind of rest makes our weariness vanish as if it had never resided within us.

When I gazed upon the sign this morning, I counted my blessings once again.

for all

your children.

for giving us rest.

Thank you

for the

incredible relationship

you provide

through faith.
