Dear God,

It seems one of the great troubles of our nation today is the inability to connect the dots.  Cause and effect, this happens leading to this, and so on.  A lunch with my sister brought this idea home to me.  In my spirit I railed and cried because she cannot see the dots.

Whether about mask mandates, unvaccinated people, economic woes, resistance to diversity or to troubled people in general, we can't seem to heal because we cannot connect the dots.  I realized at our meal together, I too am guilty of failure to connect dots.

Dots are discernment, wisdom, insight, truth, and faith.  Faith connects us from unbelief to belief.  Hope connects us discouragement to encouragement.  Insight connects us to see ways to move from point A to point B.  Wisdom connects us to peace.  Truth connects us to possibility.  I guess we first have to see dots before we can connect them.

Loving God,
help us see
our blindness.
Show us dots
that come
from you.
Enable us
to connect
every dot
with you.

Love, Andrea
