Dear God,

It is so easy to give in to temptation.  Although we know where and who to turn to, we often follow the road that leads to disappointment, hurt and sorrow.  But when we allow ourselves to take the path that leads to faith, there is always joy at the end.

I have traveled both paths.  I have given in to temptation where I knew ahead of time how I would feel.  I knew then and know now that it leads to nowhere good.  So why do I go there?  I don't have to.  I can always say NO.  And when I do, I rise up, see the light shining and suddenly feel your presence all around me.  

Lead me

to you,

Lord of the Living.

Show me

the way

to joy

and peace.
