Dear God,

Liminality...thresholds where possibility reigns.  It seems we are always in transition, moving from here to there or changing courses or living through trials, seasons or dramatic events.  At those precise moments you invite us to take a deep breath, pause and consider next steps.  We can continue on the same old path with the same outcomes or we can take a new step in a different direction or we can choose to sing a new song in a new life.  

Sometimes it is hard to start over or to change something we have always done.  Yet, a new call, a new challenge, a new story beginning is more often exactly what we need.  That is why you provide those thresholds for us.  If we recognize it, we can know without a doubt you are standing with us whispering words of courage, strength and hope.  When we say yes to this high moment, blessings can come and overflow.  A single yes can lead to many yesses.  

Holy God,

thank you

for thresholds

of faith.

Thank you

for the potential

always ahead

of us.

Thank you

for the invitation.
