Dear God,

How do we combat fear in our country and world?  How do we bring safe harbor to all people?  How do we bring comfort, hope and peace to all who need it?  

You are the prince of peace, the harbinger of peace, the great peacemaker.  Yet, Lord, there is no peace or little of it.  People fear so many things and when people we are supposed to trust bring us anything other than peace, we fear all the more.  

The more we listen to the news, the greater our fear and anxiety.  Where can we go to find peace?  To whom do we trust for peace?  How can we become vessels of peace and how can we offer it others?

Help us

find peace,

O God.

Restore our minds,

bodies and spirits

with your peace.

Fill us

with peace

that is lasting,

I pray.
