Dear God,

How glorious to think of you on Father's Day.  For there is no better father than you. Although we look for a father who is perfect in every way, there is no man on earth who can fit that bill.  Only you, Gracious God, are full of love, challenge and hope.

We look to you for love because we all long to be loved fully and unconditionally.  No one can give us that.   We look to you for challenge because we know we cannot stay the same and grow stagnant.  We look to you for hope because this world chaos robs us of our hope but you give hope to us for so many reasons.  You lift our eyes when we are cast down.  You lift our hearts when we feel forgotten or used up.  You lift our spirits, give us divine energy and bless us with your own spirit of power, peace and rest; these alone return our hope.

You are a good and compassionate father, one to turn to, to love and be loved by and in whose arms we find tranquility and joy.

Thank you,
Merciful Father,
for every gift.
Thank you,
most of all,
for your
unwavering love.
Thank you
for being
Heavenly Father
to all.

Yours, Andrea
