Dear God,

Thank you for the knowledge that we, you and I, will walk through this day together.  No matter what befalls us, we shall be side by side.  We will find joy and peace.  We will live in hope.  We will celebrate and if there is a call to weep, we shall weep together.

The promise of your son to always be with us when he ascended into heaven is one of the most profound promises ever made.  If we believe it, then we know you are not absent but present day in and day out.  I may refuse to acknowledge you but that will not make you exit from my life. Your living presence is always with us.  The sheer knowing this gives me great joy!

Dear God,
