Dear God,

I woke up this morning with no fever and no sore throat.  It was clear I was turning the corner with Covid.  A few years ago Covid was an inconceivable threat to millions who died.  Around the world, we watched as cities fashioned temporary morgues out of trucks.  We watched as many unknown people were buried on an island off New York.  Fear was rampant as doctors and nurses acted not only as medical professionals but also as family members because they were denied access to dying patients.  It was so painful and threatening.  Now, with vaccine and more information, we are being diagnosed but more and more are surviving.

When I started feeling better and better, I knew who I had to thank for my healing.  I know with the best of medical care, it takes a holy, healing hand to make us well.  Even with fatigue and a hacky cough, I knew I would soon be cured and able to return to my normal routine.  Even yet, I whispered aloud my prayers of thanksgiving.

Thank you,
Compassionate God,
for your
tender, loving care.
Thank you
for my healing.
Please, dear God,
bring relief
to all
who are ill.

Yours forever, Andrea
