Dear God,

How beautiful it is for the two of us to spend this time together, Loving God.  We talk and listen.  We love and be loved.  We share awe and wonder together.  We cry and laugh.  In these moments we are one.

And to think we fail to spend time with you.  Seemingly we have time for everyone and everything else but not with you.  Yet, where do we find the richest experiences in life?  Always with you.

Guide us through our days, O Lord.  Help us to think of you first thing in the morning even before opening our eyes to the new day.  Help us begin with gratitude for what has already come.  Help us keep you in mind all day long as we make decisions and handle difficult situations.  Then at bedtime may you be the last one to hear our voice returning to gratitude.
