Dear God,

How on earth can we find our way without you?  If we follow our own desire, we may arrive at our destination; however, what if it is the wrong one?

We all know dead ends, roads that lead nowhere and tragic turns and twists.  If we want a life all our own where we insist on our own way every time, we may get to where we are going.  But that will be all we get.  We will miss the mysteries, the treasures, the surprises, the better ways and greater destinations all along the way.  We will experience grandeur, glory, joy, hope and wisdom too.

Tragically, we all fall prey to wanting to fully lead our own lives and also the lives of others.  Our puny views will always limit the possibilities.  We will only be able to offer what comes from the human mind.  If, on the other hand, we join the mind of God, we will always get more that we can comprehend on our own.

Almighty God,

we forget

whose power

is greater.

We resist

what is better.

Forgive us.
