Dear God,
Why do so many of your people suffer, O God? When millions go to bed hungry, how can any of us bring bread to our lips? Why are so many lost, lonely, bereft of love, compassion, and care? How can we demand so much affirmation and support when our own family of brothers and sisters have none? Why does evil and fear have such power to diminish, defeat, and destroy? How can we expect your wondrous touch when we do not alleviate the suffering of so many?
Speak your
living word
to us,
O God;
we shall
surely die
if we
do not help
the suffering.
Always, Andrea
