Dearest God,
You are a very present help in trouble just like the psalmist said you were. In our darkest hour, in our most difficult time, you sit with us holding fast to your promise to always be a living presence.
Today as I looked back at my own life, I remembered the constancy of your presence with me. When I feared, when I sorrowed, when I fell into despair, I discovered you by my side. Realizing I was not alone in my suffering helped me muster hope and courage. Of course, you were the power and force that brought these gifts to me.
In your earthly days you often spoke of the power of memory. As I reflected upon my own moments with you, I recognized your blessing then and now as I remembered.
Gracious God,
so full
of kindness
and love,
thank you
for your generosity.
My hearts overflows
like a fountain
with gratitude.
You are worthy
of all
my devotion
and praise.
Love, Andrea
