Dearest God,
I gather with your people on Sunday mornings because I am assured of your living presence. I sing your praise because I have reason to thank you for your countless many blessings. I pray because I want to remain in your care and lift up all the people on this planet. I grow silent because I know you have something to say to me. I bow my head because you are worthy of my devotion. I give my gifts because I want to offer you my thanksgiving that can become a blessing for someone else. I greet my neighbors with the peace of Christ because I want to be an offering of light to those around me. I listen for your word because your word brings power to live a life of faith, love, and service. I breathe in your spirit because I want to breathe out your peace to places where chaos and disorder reign.
I don't just go to worship to participate in a service. I go because your spirit is at work making a difference in the lives of people gathered.
Thank you,
Almighty and Everlasting God,
for moving
in your church.
Thank you
for spiritual gifts
that come
when we gather
with you.
Thank you
for love
that greets us
at the door.
Thank you
for faith
the leads me
to you
and out
to others.
Love, Andrea
