Dear God,
You intrigue me, O Lord. As I go day by day into each season of Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, I see how the invisible becomes visible and finally back to invisibility. I watch as the ground slowly begins to open up allowing the seed to poke through the soil. I observe with great interest the stem as it grows and reaches toward heaven. As the weeks go by, I witness a bud form and finally a blossom. As each one, pink, purple, yellow, red, and white open, they radiate in beauty as they cry out your praise. And then one day they grow weary, wilt, and die falling to the earth. Ahead the months of feeding deep prepare them for the next glorious cycle of life.
Are we that way too? Do we hibernate feeding upon your love, your truth, and your word? At the appropriate time do we spring up in strength, rising, rising, rising toward the eternal? Do we form beauty and when ready, do we open up shining with your glory? Do we too sing your praise, our own adoration for the process of life and spirit? And then do we drop low, to begin the cycle again? Do we listen for your direction and move at your will? I think so, I really do.
Loving God,
your design
is exquisite.
There is none
like your creation.
The cosmos
reveals your glory;
yet, you
give us
the capability
and the capacity
to shine too.
Let our lives
radiate your light.
Let mine,
I pray.
Love, Andrea
