Dearest God,
Truly you are the keeper of my soul! You know what I need when I need it. You know when I need to be challenged. You know when I need to be corrected and redirected. You know when I need to surrender and when I need to rise up. You know when I need comfort and when I need to comfort someone else.
Every situation in life offers me a life lesson. Oh yes, I can just roll from one day to the next without much regard to what is happening or I can be intentional, anticipatory, looking with a third eye and a deep awareness. The former will mostly be a day forgotten. The latter can uncover rich gems to fill my spiritual treasure box. One gives me little to talk about, the other, aahh, gives me appreciation, hope, joy, and faith. Why would I not want the blessings of heaven?
On days when I am spent, lonely, sad, disappointed, fearful, or whatever downward feeling, I can designate a sacred space where I sit before you, open my treasure box, and share with you my blessings and gratitude. Joy fills my soul as I allow my heart to swell with love, my soul to drink from the well of salvation, and my mind to revel in the wonders of the God of my faith. Oh, to do so is to find strength, solitude, and unity of body, mind, and spirit. But nothing greater than to meet with you, my great savior, teacher, and friend.
Holy God,
you are
the center
of all
that is.
You are
the source
of life
and beauty,
goodness, and mercy.
I am indebted
to you
for every gift
especially the gift
of your
living presence.
Thank you,
Wondrous God,
thank you.
I love you.
Always yours, Andrea
