Dear God,

Today we rested in your care.  Although we were both anxious for the upcoming heart surgery, we felt held, cradled in the Master's arms, your arms, Lord and we were grateful.

Waiting has given me time to reassess my faith by learning to trust more deeply.  Leaning back into waiting arms has shown me the way to peace.  I realized once again how much faith plays a part in daily life and the ways we can see your hand so closely at work in us.

As the hours unfold I take deep breaths of divine air and acknowledge your many gifts.

Holy God,
you are wondrous.
Thank you
for your
generous help,
your patient understanding,
and gracious love.
We are blessed.
