Dear God,
You are good, so full of grace, compassion, and mercy. Early this morning when the night sky was still dark except for a half moon glow, I prayed in bed. "Lord, how can I bless you today? How can I glorify your name? How can I show you my love?" With that I rose and went about my long list of chores.
In my kitchen minutes later I noticed my herbed cheese log had been left out. I had to throw it out and I knew I would bark at my husband for failing to refrigerate it. You simply invited me to bless you by letting it go. Next at WalMart you pointed to a number of people to whom you wanted me to wish a Merry Christmas. In the line at Starbucks Coffee, you nudged me to pay for the coffee for the person in line behind me. When I sat down to write, you whispered to me to write one of my friends a note of blessing and a prayer. And now as I sit in my living room, the Christmas tree aglow, a few flurries falling as the night gives way to the day outside, I realize you have already given me four opportunities to bless you and it is not yet 8:00 a.m. How blessed I am to bless you, Lord. Thank you for the privilege.
There is
no god
like you.
No one
blesses like you.
No one
loves like you.
No one
gives like you.
No one.
Love always, Andrea
