Dear God,

How wonderful you built love into us!  You give us the ability to love and be loved.  Because you first loved us, we can know that love and let it grow inside us.

There are so many ways you show us love.  You give us magnificent sunrises and sunsets.  You give us children's laughter and big hugs.  You give us grace, an ability to start again.  You give us mercy when our hearts are broken.  You give us beauty and eyes to feast upon it.  You give us each other.

I came to realize that more today when my sister arrived to stay a few days.  We remembered and laughed. We sewed together.  We created together.  We helped each other.  We talked and celebrated.  We shared our concerns and worries.

When love comes to me from any source, I know you have visited me once again.

for your gifts,
for your kindness,
and for
your love.
