Dear God,

"Watching for Him Who is Enough," the title read.  Watching for God who satisfies the whole human heart, soul, and mind is an excellent exercise for the wounded child.  And who is not wounded?

When our way is thwarted, when our plan fails, and when our lives begin to crumble, who is better to watch for than you, O God?  As we wait steadily and trust your grace to be revealed, faith is born.  We do not have to tremble or fear, we just have to watch.

An observant eye will know you are in the sunrise, in the song, in the sweet smile, in the unexpected kindness, in the hospitality, in the light, and in the silence.  Our patience will allow your plan to unfold.  Watching for you in the small things will make us ready for the big ones as they come along.  In the meantime peace can bring relief, trust can build faith, and hope can make the future possible.

Thank you,
Gracious One,
for revealing
your living presence
to us.
Thank you
for giving us
watchful eyes
to see
the unfolding events
of faith.
Thank you
for love
that undergirds
all you do.

Love, Andrea
