Dear God,
One tiny light can penetrate the darkness. Two lights can reveal the pathway home. Many lights can radiate a glow that will display the glory of the Lord.
As I sit here in my living room lighted only by the Christmas tree and a single string of lights on the mantle, I recognize once again how the light of faith can bring great beauty. Light is beautiful in the darkness. It radiates warmth, acceptance, love, and great compassion. If a person is lost, the light can guide them to their destination. If a person is despairing, the light can provide hope. If a person is doubtful, the light can bring certainty. If a person is wondering, the light can bring awe. If a person is fearful, the light can bring peace. If a person feels unloved, the light can bring love.
Sometimes we just need to sit in the darkness to find the light.
There is
no one
like you,
Merciful God.
You bring joy
with the light.
Thank you.
Love, Andrea
