Dear God,
I finally got the pansies and lettuce planted in my vegetable garden. But they were so weak, falling to the side and so very droopy. I watered them twice and left them to settle and take hold.
In the spiritual life when we are transplanted, when we are taken from our "home" and rerooted somewhere else, it can be difficult. We feel lifeless, uncomfortable, and unfamiliar. We need spiritual and emotional nutrients and living water to revive and renew us. You, O Lord, know our needs before we do and you come to our rescue with just what we need to bring us back to life.
So often we forget the spiritual resources you provide. We forget you have the answer to our dilemma. We forget the well that exists to quench our thirst is nearby. And so we fail to come to you. But you never fail to come to us.
Thank you
for visits
from on high.
Thank you
for generosity
that goes
way beyond anything
we can give
to one another.
Thank you
for remembering us,
for reviving,
renewing, and restoring us.
Love always, Andrea
