Thanksgiving Thursday, November 26, 2015

Dear God,

Holy are you, Lord.  Great is your name!  On this Thanksgiving day you remind us to appraise our lives, to look around, and to give thanks.  For our blessings are many.

Today our family will gather because you helped us lay down our differences and come together to pray, to eat, and to give thanks.  Some conflicts last longer than others but on days set aside to give thanks, you give us new opportunities to heal, to step forward, to forgive, to gather, and to remember our blessings.  You have given my family a new chance to bless one another and I am so very grateful.

giver of all blessings,
thank you
for your
forgiving love.
Thank you
for mercy
and grace.
Thank you
for calling us higher
in faith.
