Dear God,

The world is restless.  We are restless and on edge.  We fear for our safety and the safety of our loved ones. 

Terrorism has struck a chord in the human soul.  Scenes of destruction, death, and chaos have invaded our hearts and minds.  We anguish with each person personally touched by terrorism.  We wonder who will be next.

But Jesus, you remind us true peace is ours when we trust in you.  You teach us faith is the other side of the coin of fear.  No matter the situation or condition we may be in, you whisper hope and comfort to us.  Be not afraid, you say.

Hope of the World,
thank you
for your promises.
Thank you
for the gift
of faith.
Thank you
for compassion
offered to
every living soul.
