Dear God,

You come to us in so many wondrous ways.  You bless us filling us with joy and thanksgiving.

It happened in church yesterday.  The pastor did an excellent job preaching about the bible.  I was fixed on her inspiring message.  But it was when we sang the final hymn, Wonderful Words of Life that you came to me.  During that hymn you brought bible stories to me.  They lifted up off the page...the story of Jesus calling his disciples, the story of creation from Genesis 1, the words of John the Revelator when he spoke of a new heaven and a new earth, the story of Pentecost and the great numbers of people coming to faith, the words of praise from the psalmist; there was just one story after another.  How beautiful to see so many spirit-filled stories of faith.

You do not hesitate to come to us, touching us from every side.  On the day you ascended into heaven when you said you would be with us always even to the end of the age, you meant it.

thank you
for every-day blessings.
Thank you
for stirring
in our souls.
Thank you
for your kindness.
