Dear God,

You know our every thought.  You know every corner of our soul where cobwebs hang.  You know every reason why we do what we do.  It is with this knowledge that I read my devotions from Prayer Seeds:  "Open what is closed.  Widen what is narrow.  Make love large where it is small."  You know every closed door and window.  You know every narrow place.  You know each spot where love is small or even tiny.  How well you know us, Lord.

Faith challenges us daily.  You remind us that faith is not a noun but a verb, an action verb.  It is a practice, a visible exercise of our relationship with and to you. Faith offers us a way to change our predicament, our mind, our attitude, our behavior, and our actions.  Faith can bring light out of darkness, hope out of despair, and joy out of sorrow.  Faith can cleanse the dirty places and bring gentle breezes of your spirit.  It can take the old and make it new.

With the wisdom and instruction of faith, why would we ever close, narrow, or make small?

Precious Lord,
remove the obstacles
from faith's door.
Open wide
the door.
Step inside.
You are
always welcome.
Make yourself
at home.
Love waits there.

Always, Andrea
