Dear God,
Thin places...those places in faith where the light shines especially bright. Sometimes when we walk in darkness, suddenly a light will shine lifting our veil of tears. Sometimes when we walk in confusion, a light bulb will suddenly go on. Sometimes when we walk in discouragement, a new fire will begin to build inside us. These are thin places where you come to us in amazing ways.
How many times have you come as light to weary souls? So many times, too many to count. When your light comes to us, it warms, it radiates, it welcomes, it loves, it blesses, it helps, it guides, it stabilizes, it transforms, it wows. At once we find ourselves changing taking away our gloom, our hopelessness, our fog, our fear, and our desperation. We literally feel ourselves lifting, rising up, letting go of our weighty burdens.
Thin places are where heaven and earth intersect. They are holy moments when you come as a breeze into a dark, stuffy place. You come bringing your holy spirit to aid us in our distress.
Holy are you,
Merciful God.
Thank you
for coming
to us.
Thank you
for thin places
where you wait
for us.
Love, Andrea
