Dear God,

How do I adequately express my deepest longing for you, O Lord?  How do I rid myself of every other god I put before you?  My selfishness, my wrongdoings, and my attitudes create a hazy fog that hangs between us.  I hate it.

I remember sweet times when the air was clear, the spirit free, and the heart open.  When I was facing breast cancer, I recall us dancing among the stars. Through meditation I remember finding you in an open field, beside still waters, and in a deep woods.  Oftentimes together we have walked the path that leads home.  I will never forget the rich communion we shared.

Clear the obstacles,
dear Christ,
remove the clutter
from my soul.
Make way
for you,
I pray.
Thank you.

Love, Andrea
