Dear God,
This afternoon I put up the fresh-cut Christmas tree. On the Frasier fir I placed tiny white lights and all sorts of ornaments, some which I made of stained glass and clothes pins, some I purchased like round glass bulbs and old glass ornaments that once adorned my parents' tree. After putting the angel on the top of the tree, I plugged in the lights and then stood back to look. It wasn't the ornaments or the angel that spoke to me. It was the little lights, each one becoming THE light, the light of Jesus.
In the early morning hours when I read my devotions, pray, and write I turn on the Christmas tree lights and let them lead me into silence, reflection and gratitude. I wait and listen allowing your spirit to move and inspire me. I wait for you.
Blessed are you,
Lord God of heaven and earth.
Blessed is
your name.
You prepare
the way
for us
just like
John did
for Jesus.
Thank you.
Bless you.
Love always, Andrea
