Dear God,

We live in an anxious world.  Leaders do not bring us peace, rather they add a layer of doubt, fear, and disappointment.  Often they spark anger in us.  They create an environment of mistrust leading us to wonder who we can really trust.  We live unsettled lives wondering what will happen today and all our tomorrows.

On the other hand you offer us peace.  You give us hope, faith, and love in the midst of chaos and conflict.  You teach us to breathe in the air of your Holy Spirit power.  You welcome us into your home of peace.  You teach us to walk in faith, to remember your promised living presence and to take courage no matter what we have to face.  You give us yourself wholly and fill us with the goodness of your merciful love.

Almighty God,
Everlasting Father,
thank you
for all
your give
to us.
Thank you
for blessing us
with faith.
Give us strength
to live
with all
your gifts.
