Dear God,

"Your will, your way."  Is there any other way to live?  Yet, we seek our will, our way.  We often think our way is better and so we follow it.  At the end of the road we may get what we want, maybe not but that is all we will get.

Your will, your way takes us on another path.  You lead us on the scenic route.  You open our eyes to what we would miss on the other road.  You open our ears to hear the sounds of heaven.  You teach us lessons, valuable lessons.  You show us how a walk with you is sweet and grace-filled.  You bless us all along the way.

Your will, your way.  Is there any other way to live?

Blessed God,
open us
to more
of you.
Make us pliable,
willing to bend,
to stretch
and grow.
Please forgive
our selfish ways.
