Dear God,

When you ask us to do something, you invite us to say yes, to trust you, to follow your lead, to watch for signs and to let go of any need to be successful in what you ask.  And so my mantra is "your will, your way."

How accustomed we are to making our own plans, doing our own will and judging ourselves by our own success.  How different you are, O Lord.  You simply invite and ask us to follow.  You ask us to trust you, to let go of our own ego needs and to tune in to you so we will know we are near you.

We can come up with reasons why not to trust your plan.  We can come up with an equal number of reasons why to follow our own plan.  Yet, when we follow your plan, so much more comes from it.  There is greater joy, more faith, stretching, learning and blessing.  And success?  It comes on so many levels, more than we would have thought about in our own will planning.  And people are touched by what we do for you.  We inspire because you inspire.  We bless because you bless.  We achieve because you work within us.

in your will

Help me

all the way
to the end
so I
can bring glory
to your name.
