Dear God,

You are God; there is none like you.  You remind us to keep faith central in our lives.  You whisper your love to us but also challenge us to live life faithfully.  Without faith we cannot be faithful.

Every time I think to pray it is because you are urging me to pray.  It is not my idea.  You ask me to give praise for all life's gifts but also to pray for the world and all her inhabitants.  How can I pray for my family if I do not pray for yours.  Your children are as much family to me as my own. 

Faith is not just a set of beliefs but also a living reality in daily living.  If my first thoughts are of you as I awaken in the morning, I am practicing faith.  If I say thank you, I am living my faith.  If I go about my daily life aware of your presence, interacting with you, offering grace to those around me, serving you where possible and living love, then faith is right where it needs to be.

Call to me,
O Lord,
keep me
on track.
I desire
to love
and serve you faithfully.
Keep me
on my toes
so I
do not
forget you
or my neighbor.
I praise you
and give thanks.
