Dear God,

A truth revealed itself today.  When we are full of anger, resentment and bitterness, we abandon the ways of faith which are hope, peace and joy.  Although I had reason to be distressed, I realized my distress was a choice, one I made over peace and trust.

It is always hard to discover the truth of myself.  When I elect a way of being that falls short of faith, I rob myself of your peace and comfort.  When I fail to surrender all that troubles me, I give away the opportunity to breathe in the air of your quiet peace.

Blessed Lord,
thank you
for truths
that need
to be revealed.
Thank you
for the truth
that sets us free.
Thank you
for faith
that offers
another chance.
