Dear God,

The deeper we find ourselves in the darkness, the greater the opportunity for the light to be found.  Although it is difficult to wade in the dark, we can know the light is shining waiting for us to see it.

So often we think we cannot be any deeper in darkness, in despair.  We imagine our situation cannot, will not change.  We believe we are doomed to this dark place that has claimed us.  Yet, you, Wondrous God, make way for us.  You call to us, invite us into the light and there when we willingly enter we find you.  You offer comfort, hope and warmth.  You remind us you are with us and that we are never alone.  You bless us, give us cause to return to our situation or condition and help us see what we could not see before, hear what we could not hear and touch what we could not feel.  This is all because you have the power to transform us.

as your own.

for touching us,
for reconciling us
and healing us.
Thank you
for your
unconditional love
that always
welcomes us home.
